Welcome to the Bristol County Conservation District!

The Bristol Conservation District is a subdivision of state government that is responsible and devoted to the wise use of Bristol County's natural resources.

Established in 1946, the Conservation District provides technical assistance to farmers and other landowners in order to address soil and water conservation issues.

The District also conducts seminars and workshops for environmental decision-makers and works closely with other federal, state and local natural resource agencies to promote the conservation and sound management of natural resources.

The District is governed by a seven member volunteer Board of Supervisors, who are elected by a 3 year term on a rotating basis. Any landowner or occupier in Bristol County is eligible to serve on the board as either an elected member or as a non-voting Associate Member.

All Funds raised are put right back into Bristol County to support local conservation efforts.

Our Tree & Shrub Sale is over for 2007, feel free to check out our catalog, many of the same plants will be offered again next year. Look for a new catalog in late February/early March of 2008.
